Addie Harris
Addie is an Executive in Residence at 1955 Capital and actively engaged in incubating new startups and helping portfolio companies achieve operational excellence. She has known Euan for over a decade and worked with him directly at Johnson & Johnson.
Addie brings to 1955 more than two decades of experience as a founder and executive in medtech, medical devices, and robotics. She was the founder and CEO of Cardan Robotics, a surgical robotics solution that was acquired (along with its sister company Mobius Imaging) by Stryker for up to $500 million in 2019.
Her current and prior roles include Global R&D Leader for robotics at Johnson & Johnson, where she led the launch of their VELYS Robotic Surgical Solution; board director and advisor to several US and European start-up companies; and CEO of Haventure SAS, a digital technology incubator.
She holds an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MS in Computer Science from Lincoln University in New Zealand, where she was a Fulbright Distinguished Fellow.
Outside of the office, Addie enjoys hiking, skiing and tennis.
