Dorian Merritt
Dorian is Chief Financial Officer for 1955 Capital and oversees the financial planning, financial reporting, and operational controls of the firm. She has known Andrew for almost 20 years, dating back to their time together at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Dorian has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. She started her career at PwC and went on to serve as Controller for a publicly traded software company before transitioning into alternative investment accounting where she has worked at several venture capital firms including Lightspeed, Sierra Ventures, and ONSET Ventures. Most recently, she served as the Chief Financial Officer at Tenaya Capital and Innovation Endeavors.
She is an active CPA and received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz where she was a Regents Scholar and graduated with Highest Honors. She received an MS in Accountancy from San Jose State University, where she also graduated with Honors.
Dorian is an avid outdoors enthusiast and enjoys photography and ultramarathon running.
