Vijit Sabnis, Ph.D.
Vijit focuses on frontier technologies across health, energy, and advanced manufacturing at 1955 Capital. He has spent over 20 years at the intersection of deep technology development as an inventor, founder, and investor.
Vijit was previously a Partner at Khosla Ventures, where he worked with Andrew and Euan to invest in and build companies across biotechnology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and emerging computation platforms. His work included companies such as Overture Life, Genalyte, Inflammatix, Arevo, and Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
He is currently the founding CEO of Adaptyx Biosciences, a company developing biowearable platforms for continuous health monitoring, and was previously a Co-founder-in-Residence at Deep Valley Labs, an incubation platform founded by Jagdeep Singh (CEO of Quantumscape).
Prior to Khosla Ventures, Vijit co-founded and led Solar Junction, which commercialized world-leading high-efficiency solar cell technology. He began his career developing advanced materials and photonics technologies.
Vijit holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley and MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
