Yumin Liu
Yumin Liu focuses on renewables and advanced manufacturing at 1955 Capital. He brings over 20 years of global operating experience across solar energy, power generation, and energy systems, with a track record of building and scaling businesses across international markets.
Yumin is currently President, North America at Recurrent Energy, a leading U.S. solar developer. He previously served as Group CEO of ReneSola (NYSE: SOL), and held senior leadership roles at Canadian Solar, where he led operations across the EMEA region with full P&L responsibility.
Earlier in his career, Yumin was President of GCL Solar Energy, one of the world’s largest polysilicon and wafer producers, where he led international expansion and project development. He worked closely with Andrew during this period.
Yumin holds a master’s degree in International Commerce from the University of Kentucky and MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in Shenyang, China.
